Okotoks Community Health Care Centre

The new Okotoks Health Centre provides “one stop shopping” for a wide array of health services and providers, including urgent care, public health, diagnostic imaging, sexual health clinic, environmental health, laboratory, speech-language pathology, community care, outpatient/ambulatory care, community rehabilitation, health promotion and education, mental health, community nutrition, and volunteer services.

The 35,000 SF curvilinear building includes operable windows, a raised access floor with personal air control devices, flow-through air pattern circulation; as well as warm and inviting interior finishes to add to the level of human comfort for occupants.

The site is developed using the principles of “natural scape”, using native plants and natural materials. Other exciting options, which are being explored through community partnerships, include features such as a healing garden, outdoor classrooms, walking pathways around the perimeter of the property, a community garden, and a labyrinth.
