Maritime-Ontario Freightworks Head Office and Truck Terminal

With an extensive terminal network across Canada, Maritime-Ontario is a major transport and logistics company, specializing in the transport of freight between Ontario and Quebec and between eastern and western Canada.

Maple Reinders was awarded the contract to construct a new corporate head office and truck terminal for Maritime-Ontario Freightworks. The new facility is located on a 65-acre site adjacent to CN’s Brampton Intermodal Terminal, with the capacity to park more than 400 trailers.

The new building is comprised of 149,000 SF of heated warehouse space with 96 truck-level cross-dock doors and three drive-in doors; and a 60,000 SF, three-storey office component including glass atrium, executive offices, general offices, auditorium, and employee amenity areas. The site works included employee parking areas and large tractor-trailer storage and maneuvering areas.

The new multi-modal facility advances Maritime-Ontario’s intent to expand and operate its general freight and contracted parcel business, including the launch of an e-commerce supply chain strategy.
