Esso Avitat Facility – Calgary

The Esso Avitat facility is Calgary’s largest Fixed Base Operator (FBO), offering a view of the world-renowned Rocky Mountains. It is rated by pilots as a Top 10 Canadian FBO.

Imperial Oil selected Maple Reinders to undertake extensive renovations to upgrade their existing hangar and passenger terminal, including upgrades to the parking lot and entrance.

The 10,000 SF terminal structure incorporates a passenger lounge, pilot lounge, restaurant, offices, and a conference room. Highlights of the renovated space include an airside glass curtain wall, new flooring, millwork, a central feature fireplace, and an executive drive-through for aircraft boarding. Mechanical and electrical upgrades were included in the scope of work.

The 54,000 SF hangar also required significant improvements, which was carried out simultaneously to the terminal renovations.
