Building Life Science Excellence

At Maple Reinders, we understand that Life Science facilities involve various levels of regulation requirements (Non-GMP vs GMP) and have varying degrees of complexity based on the market being served: from advanced manufacturing facilities and complex process equipment, to clean rooms, laboratories and clinical rooms with high Quality and Safety standards, Maple’s Project Management team brings years of experience dealing with the various markets in the Life Science industry. Our team understands the efficient methods throughout pre-construction required to make your construction project successful. Whether you’re manufacturing medical technology through a manual or automated process and looking to expand, upgrading a clinical room, or adding formulation and fill lines for your pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Cosmetic or home care products, having a partner that understands what goes into your building and how it’s controlled is imperative to the overall project and project handoff success.

Life Science Construction

With complex new builds, expansions, and Retro-fits all common to the Maple Reinders team, we are able to lead our clients through the pre-construction process and limit “surprise” budgets and cost-creep. We do this by identifying early on the clients ‘needs’ vs ‘wants,’ and progress through design while providing cost-effective alternative options. Early engagement with clients for these complex process facilities meets clients needs by reducing schedule risk through our teams ongoing progressive schedule updates. The Maple Team is able to provide input on the impact of Process Equipment to the overall constructability of the project, and develop strategic execution plans that align with the clients requirements at the facility. Having a clear understanding of how the buildings process equipment overlap with one another, and receiving constructability advice early on has significant impact to a projects success. Whether it be formulation and fill lines, CIP, complex waste water treatment requirements, Clean Steam, Storage tanks, automation systems, or projects with adjacent on-going operations, or client contractual commitments and hard schedules, the Maple team gives our clients the best opportunity to make the project successful as we guide and support clients through the design and build stages for their facilities.

Building Life Science Excellence

Maple Reinders has the capacity, experience, and relationships to construct state-of-the-art Life Science facilities where industry leading medicines are being developed and produced to help improve the lives of Canadians from coast-to-coast. To take on the challenges and ever-changing needs of laboratory spaces, complex MEP systems, and rigorous requirements for secure, sterile facilities, Maple will approach your construction needs from your perspective. This is why partnering with the right Constructor is paramount to ensure a successful and a well-built facility of this nature and complexity.

Life Science plants are highly complex production environments that require an extremely high degree of functional, structural, and regulatory planning. In the past, these types of medical production facilities have lengthy construction schedules due to the specialized and sophisticated nature of their equipment and processes. Modern advancements in construction technology have made it both easier and safer than ever before to build these types of scalable operations to position your company for long-term growth.
